Wow I'm irritated. Gah. I shall now list down the reasons why living in a HDB sucks and how my old condo ROCKED, as well as give the special recognition to the people who have lived in HDBs their whole lives. You guys rock and I had NO idea you guys faced this much shit on a daily basis =_=.
1. What the FUCK is the garang guni man doing honking his FUCKING horn at approx 9 in the morning. Not only is it repetitive and wakes me UP, its lasts for 1-2 HOURS, him just honking the BLOODY HORN again and AGAIN and AGAIN. DUDE GET A CLUE. IF NO ONE APPEARS IN THE FIRST 15 MINS GO SOME WHERE FRICKIN ELSE. And thats not even enough. After that 2 hours when the sound finally fades and I fall asleep again, guess WHAT. ANOTHER one appears and starts honking his stupid horn. Oh wait, this one is different. This one honks in a specific rhythm. Such a lovely wake to wake up is it not? YES IT IS SO NOT.
2. The traffic. Ahh, yes. This issue. Everyday at night, at approx 11.30 pm there would be this lovely gidiot who would LOVE to rev his goddamn engine so loudly to show the world ( which I might add, at that time WOULD NOT BLOODY CARE) how loud it can purr, while speeding down the street of Tampines, Singapore. Keyword here: SINGAPORE. WHO THE HELL NEEDS SUCH A LOUD ENGINE IN PUNY SINGAPORE, MUCH LESS ONE THAT HAS TO MAKE SO MUCH NOISE GOING SO FAST. Its SINGAPORE! No matter how much you speed, there would be a frickin TRAFFIC LIGHT, and if you beat one and are feeling good, GUESS WHAT. There would be another one no less then 500m AWAY. Hooray to you, you've just wasted approx 50 000 SGD on a really powerful engine that you would most probably NEVER GET TO USE TO THE FULLEST EXTENT. The world is going through a RECESSION. Stop. Wasting. Money. On. Petrol. And. Useless. Engines.
These guys make living next to a graveyard a LUXURY. The loudest thing you could actually hear in the damn place are crickets.
3. The neighbours. Oh. My. God. On the very rare occasion that I am not awakened by the LOVELY live classical concert show going on downstairs featuring the garang guni man and his HORNS, I would get awakened by the neighbours KIDS. Apparently, being awake at 12 am in the morning crying and yelling their little heads off keeping me awake if I sleep at that time (At this point I might like to add that they are approx 5-6 years old of age, not some newborn BABY. Translated, THATS PRIMARY 1.) doesn't affect them, and they are able to wake up approx 8-9 am in the morning, so that they can cry/yell/gurgle/choke and irritate the hell outta me.
Previously, the only common corridor I shared was with one other family, and though we are so close to each other that we can say hi to each other just by looking over the balcony, never ONCE was i subjected to wake up because someone was CRYING. UGH. Thin walls much!?
4. What the hell is up with the volume of WATER. Or should I say, the LACK of it. I don't even WANT to ask WHY or explain this. When I want to get a glass of water from the kitchen tap (mine has that water purifier on it) it takes me approx 30 seconds standing at the tap waiting for the water to crawl out of its HOLE. Picture if you will.
5. 2 words. Jealous Neighbours.
6. Another 2 words. Rude Neighbours.
In the condo, if you didnt like someone you could just avoid them =_= Common corridor schommon morridor.
Gah.
Is currently: Hating the new house, wishing for sound-proof windows for my room.
